At a workshop youth explore the art of Hip Hop, including songwriting, freestyle, rap, poetry, beat-making, and an Afro-Peruvian drum called the Cajon. This experience provides youth the space to creatively share their personal stories through art and consider the role of art in mental health, wellness and justice. Youth also explore the transferable life skills embedded within the art such as communication, collaboration, innovation and creativity.
