Amateur

"Amateur" Produced by Peace 586. Listen here.

Recently I heard someone on a podcast use the word "Amateur" in a positive light. Describing someone who does something for the love of it. Someone who isn't easily influenced or swayed by money or an employer but who is motivated by love, passion and enjoyment. It was a fresh perspective and spin on a word that I had not heard or thought of. It caught my attention!

The opening line on the song is "The feeling is fulfilling / I would do this even if I never made a shilling"

Hence why I chose to title the jam "Amateur"

I've rapped some version of the phrase "I'm no amateur"  in many a "free style" over the years. The desire to be viewed as a "pro" is real and more often than not a real waste of time.

Enjoy the jam! Thanks for listening.
